He was also green vs Hopkins. It was his first world title fight.

He's not as technical as a Floyd, but he was more than just a very good fighter.

A testament to the insanity that was UFC 1, where nobody except Royce Gracie really knew what they were doing. Including the organisers and refs.

He almost pulled out the night before.

He was shocked to find out that takedowns were allowed and fights could continue on the ground.
He also had an important boxing match soon after and didn’t want to get hurt.
