Most honorable/respectful fighters

I was thinking that over the years there haven't been a great deal of honorable/respectful fighters that really stand out. Ones that don't talk shit & other fighters as well as the fans hold in high regard.

What do think, brothers?

Fedor & GSP have to be the top two, but can't think of many others.

I think Zhang Weili definitely qualifies. She not only never says anything bad about her opponents, but honors them and wants to be friends with them, inviting them to visit her in China after the fight is done.

I think Poirier has to be mentioned as well. Some people say "fake nice guy" but the dude is very solid and loses very well. Class act.

There have been many over the years.. Sexyama, Lyoto Machida, GSP, Carlos Newton, Saku, and anyone else that comes/came out in a gi is normally on the list...

Trouble is, casuals dont care about nice guys in this sport, so talking trash and being an asshole is actually the smart business decision...

Its true there alot of classy people who arent as remembered because of it,but the guys who are dominant,get to the top,and stay there...its def noticable that they arent dicks about the fact that they are impossible to defeat

Weili is awesome... Has anyone ever taken her up on the offer?

China is amazing... I'm from London, went to Beijing, and it was like going into the future... The technology they have there, the food, the quality of life, the size of the city, the roads, the overall wealth there... Really blew me away - cannot recommend highly enough.

good list, agree.

-- I'd add in Wonderboy Thompson. Never talks smack, extremely respectful to his opponents (even when Woodley was trying to goad him into it).

-- Add in Jim Miller. Show me another fight who hates him? Bet you cannot find one. Super guy, just shows up on weight and fights and *insane* number of UFC fights.
