Thread title says it all but for clarification purposes, I'd like to know what we, the fans, think are the most exciting fights the UFC could put on right now.

The fighters need to be active, in the same weight class (or capable of making the weight) and not have a fight booked currently. So no Brock Lesnar vs. Cro Cop) cause Brock is not currently on the roster.

For example I'd be stoked for a Gunnar Nelson vs. Carlos Condit matchup or Doo Ho Choi vs. Hacran Dias.

Ranking and relative standing don't matter so much, just possible exciting fights.

(I'm aware this has probably been done before but times change and I'm interested in the present)

Was excited as shit for Alvarez vs Bendo. So I guess throw that on the list still.

    JoJo vs JoJed
    Penne vs Torres
    Esparza vs Markos
    Markos vs Gadelha
    Johnson vs McCall 3
    Zingano vs Holm
    Edgar vs Mendes
    Swanson vs McGregor
    Alvarez vs Melendez
    Alvarez vs Henderson
    Sanchez vs Diaz
    Sanchez vs Maynard
    Brown vs Burkman
    Brown vs Condit
    Weidman vs Rockhold
    Johnson vs Teixeira
    Jones vs Gustafsson II
    Barnett vs Rothwell
    Arlovski vs Overeem
    Oliynk vs Schaub/Mitrione

All I can think of off the top of my head. Obviously not all of them make complete sense right now.

Melendez vs Cerrone needs to happen soon.

Condit vs Matt Brown has always sounded great to me.

Hunt vs Arlovski is a no brainer.

    There is one correct answer:

    Aldo vs Pettis

(It counts because it has been assumed Aldo will move up in the near future and obviously he is going to fight for the title.)

Aldo / Pettis sounds like a front runner to me now that Jones / Cormier is over. Jones / Cain would set shit abuzz.

The great thing is, they are making the exciting fights, as opposed to Boxing where you wait years for titlists to unify or have a punk like Mayweather putting the kybosh on potentially the biggest fight ever.

*Fighter pay is shite though. Nothing is perfect, it seems:confused:

If you don't think those would end up exciting then I don't what to tell you. Or you're just sexist.

Or maybe its cause the poster is a super conservative, straight, trans-gendered individual who doesnt like female brutality displayed so vividly while being scandly clad.

    Just saying is all:icon_conf
