Mosley vs Malignaggi Its ON!!!!!

He can't. Paulie doesn't have the star power, He needs the belt. He is become a reg name now with the stellar announcing job he been doing latey but I think he needs a belt to get a star in the ring with him, Or he becomes to high risk for anyone to fight.

I just saw this. Paulie is a tough fighter an likeable commentator in my opinion. I don't want to see him fighting no names or has beens, but I'm not naive enough not to get why.

I would love to see paulie in with any of the guys you guys just mentioned, but you're right, he will make more if he hangs onto his strap.

I don't know if you have a source for this or if its just speculation, but my guess would be that the idea of Paulie pricing himself out against 40 year old Sugar Shane Mosley could not be farther from the truth

Unhappy over financial terms for the fight, welterweight titleholder Paulie Malignaggi has declined to finalize a deal to defend his belt against former champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley

Might as well make the fight since the Maidana one isn't happening. Or else maybe Jersey is worried Shane pulls the upset :p

BoxingScene caught up with welterweight contender Jesus Soto Karass after his upset majority decision victory over Selcuk Aydin on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Soto Karass, who was a 5-1 underdog in the fight, controlled the fight applying controlled pressure. He said that fighting intelligently is what they worked on in training camp.

"We were winning the fight round by round like we worked on in training. Throughout the fight I thought I was winning. At the most I felt I lost three rounds. We tried to fight smart in the ring and I think that was the key to the fight," Soto Karass explained.

Most ringside observers had Soto Karass winning 7-8 of the 10 rounds. However the first score announced was 95-95. Soto Karass admitted that score had him nervous.

"I was confident that I won the fight because we knew we won. When I heard the
first score was a tie I smiled and I was like 'are these jackasses going to take this fight from me?'" joked Soto Karass. "I didn't know if they were going to make it a tie or give it to him but thankfully they did the right thing and gave me the win that I deserved," he continued.

Soto Karass finished our conversation by speaking about potential future opponents. He said that he is ready to face anyone in the welterweight division.

"I will fight anybody out there. It doesn't matter who. There are a lot of names out there like Paulie Malignaggi and Robert Guerrero. There is Floyd Mayweather who of course brings a lot of money. I will fight anyone," Soto Karass stated.

He'd beat Paulie.
Guerrero would be tougher.

I don't think Karass has the punching power to beat Malignaggi. I'd take Malignaggi to outbox him. Karass got outboxed by Maidana of all people. Maidana has never looked as good as he did against Karass.
