It was a bizarre performance by Pierce for sure, guy just decided to recklessly go for the takedown against Palhares.

I wasn't paying attention to the pre-fight talk but I do remember Pierce had a long history of trashing Brazilians. Ultimately it doesn't seem like anyone really cared.

Pierce is way over his head. If you see his twitter you will see his opinions and his behaviour

I will say no more as I have dubs :)

Great win by Toquinho, hope he gets a streak in WW

Probably the sanctity of the unfied mma rules given that Palharis doesn't know how to let go when someone is hammerfisting so hard to tap out....

I need to watch Lombard pummel him again...

    I bet his ego hurts.

But he didn't lie when he talked shit, Palhares did pop for roids and has a history of holding subs.

He didn't just talked shit in this fight. He said that he wanted to keep fighting Brazilians because they were easy to beat.

He talked too much trash - called Palharas a cheat, insinuated that he was being given fighters "beneath him" - he'd won 4 straight and Palharas lost two on the spin and had a suspension fro PEDs....

His ego MUST be smarting after losing so fast...

Still... Palharas finds a way to f**k it all up by holding the sub WAAAAY too long

    His ego.

He deserves it. He practically served his leg up on a platter.

    His ego, I hope.

two reasons. One - I don't wish serious injury on any fighter.

Two - I fucking hate Mike Pierce, he's a big-headed, arrogant fighter who has no real reason to be so full of himself when he can only finish THE worst fighters in the division. He's bad-mouthed Brazilians in the past so it was nice to see him get his come-uppance in brutal fashion.

Another 7 fight win streak might get him on the main card, eh Pierce fans?
