I was watching the fight with some friends and everyone was going nuts...saying Holly was a beast for not tapping (looked like when she passed out she was sleepthrowing combos),,saying that's how you do it ...no surrender...

And that conor was a wienie...for tapping,,holly had more ball$ and for not going out on his shield....
take in mind every one was drinking and probably baked...

think that showed weakness on Conors part?

Possibly Conor, he was going to face Robbie Lawler. Even if Lawler is beatable he's the scariest fighter on the roster, seems completely psychotic and throws with extreme power.

Conor broke mentally. Holly was still trying to bang even when she was unconscious, but Miesha wouldn't let her bang.

Sherdogers talking about balls, you would not even find one even you took of your underwears

I dont give props to not tapping to a choke, maybe fighting with a broken arm but I dont think a referee allows that.

Holly went out like a champ and preferred napping before tapping...

Conor on the other hand lifted his chin and invited the submission as a way out, dude didn't even bother trying to fight it lol

Conor said Cerrone quit against RDA but that is exactly what he did against Nate. A pathetic takedown attempt, gave his back, and tapped without hesitation.

holly, she didnt wilt after a rough 2nd round

Id have to say Holly.
She did a great job defending the first choke from tate and held off till the end of the round..
Got caught in the last round tho..but she went all 5 rounds almost.

You need some basic anatomy knowledge, homie.

Holly was going to face Cyborg and she's the most scariest man in WMMA.

It was not about balls guys but about brain !
And Conor clearly have a better brain than most of you guys, yes he does.
He knew he was caught, what would have be the benefit for not admitting a defeat ?
Being out of fighting for the next 6 to 8 months ? Getting brain damages ?
He avoided this by simply admitting the loss with hi sbrains and yes his balls.
It so easy to let go to sleep, what kind of balls does it take to let it go when you're already caught ?
It takes 0 balls and believe me that for a proud fighter it really really takes balls to tap and save his brain

Conor turned over and gave up his back in the ceremonious sacrifical touch butt position.

Holly went out like a G and gained huge respect in everyone's book.

Conor has more of them but Holly got choked unconscious.

Holly had to fight as hard as she could because as her lights dimmed she realized she's going back to the prelims.

Conor tapped so he could be ready for his next main event.

When your gassed that's what happens, you make mistakes and break easier. Not trying to defend Conor, I'm happy he lost but I think large part of it is simply the difference between one person who is exhausted and one who isn't.

Holly was open to fighting Cyborg.

As for the OP. Nothing wrong with tapping if you are caught and can't get out. I don't think Holly chose to go out she just went out too quick to tap, Conor on the other hand basically gave his neck up because he wanted out of the fight.

He wasn't exhausted he got hit and hurt.

No fighter consciously decides not to tap, they are out before they get a chance to ;)
