" Money fights "

Money fights mean people care about them, otherwise there wouldn't be money to be made.

Not necessarily. Sometimes people don't want or don't care about the fight per se, but one of the fighters is a big draw, so people would pay to see this fighter regardless of his opponent. For instance, Ronda would be a money fight to Nunes, but it doesn't matter to Ronda whether she's fighting her or someone else.

That's true. For this scenario, though, we don't have a true superstar.

You guys keep mentioning Conor McGregor, but Id like to note that Nate Diaz really coined this "Money Fight" term, and the trend is more so fighters wanting to face the Diaz brothers, rather than acting like Conor McGregor

How are Conor and Ronda not real fighters? Conor iced Aldo in 13 seconds and Ronda finished 13 fights in a row by the same damn submission. What is going on tonight?
Because Ronda won't fight again because she lost. Conor will join her after the 2nd fight with Nate. They don't need this stuff.

Put your money fight in your ass. I hope UFC stop this bullshit of giving fights that nobody care. Alvarez and Woodley have just won the belt. They should fight Khabib or Ferguson who are the principal contenders and Wonderboy. They are no GSP or Anderson so stop this sh** and defend your belt against the real contenders.

If the UFC doesn't give a shit about their rankings and having the champ defend against the #1 contender then why should the fighters?

Eddie and Woodley are just learning from Conor/Bisping. Just pick the easiest fight for the most money like Chael loves to say.

Ali act and a fighters' association would put a stop to this.

Every fighter should defend their belts except Conor.
