Which is the better rap group and why? Tough choice, but I feel Cypress has been more consistent over time, while the Mobb kinda fell off after Murda Musik. Although P is in my top 3 favorite MCS of all time.

Both P and Hav killed this:

As far as the Hill, there are too many to name. 2 of my favorites

Not a big rap fan, but i liked Mobb Deep better than Cypress Hill. Don't have any reason other than i just liked their songs better.

Yeah Mobb Deep has stand out songs definitely. Cypress Hill, you really have to go back and listen to all their material to understand how great and consistent they were. Cypress hill is more versatile to me, while Mobb kind of keeps it slow and dark.

I'm going with Cyprus Hill ...2pac blasting Mobb Deep back in the day was crushing.

But Mobb Deep's Prodigy dropping knowledge bombs on the "Illuminati" won points back for deep.

I like them both. But based on sheer lyricism, gotta go with Mobb Deep.

I must admit that i was more familiar with Mobb Deep's stuff. The stuff i heard from Cypress Hill i liked some of it, but after awhile it just kind of wore off. And then with their popularity, it seemed like they just ran with the weed image and that turned me off. I just found it silly after awhile. I like that Mobb Deep has that slow and dark vibe, as you put it. I thought it worked for them.

P again is one of favorite MCs, but as far as lyricism is concerned, he doesn't always rhyme. His good at painting pictures though, and being descriptive. When he rhymes, he makes you feel like you are in Queens Bridge. But again, he doesn't rhyme all the time (pun intended).

For example, Listen to his verse in the beginning

Mobb Deep, even if their peak was pretty brief. 96' era Prodigy is practically untouchable.

It went beyond 96 imo. from The Infamous to Murda Musik, 93 99 they held it down. Basically the 90s. Infamy was dope too. Americaz Nightmare they lost a step, although I still liked it to a degree.
