Hey guys,

So I've been looking for a fight shop based in Canada so I can avoid all the duties and such and I stumbled upon MMAgearonline.com. It was also awesome to see that they offer free shipping.

Have any of you guys ordered from this site before? Good experience? Bad? I've never ordered training gear online before, so I just wanted to make sure that my first experience will be a good one.

I would call them directly and avoid ordering online. I ordered online and something was wrong with their server , I ended up being overcharged. Their shipping if fast though and free.

Just curious...what did you buy? and how much did you end up getting overcharged? Was it easy for you to get your money back?
 
I bought a set of Round 5 figures. I was charged for 2 sets instead of one. Still waiting for my refund ((about 2 weeks now). I have been in communication with them via email but it seems to be taking quite a awhile to have the charge refunded.
 
How's their customer service in general? Have their responses to you been fast and helpful?
 
This is my first experience shopping with them.

I phoned them to place the order after trying to order a few times online(an error came up after I hit the order confirmation button) but while I was placing the order on the phone I got disconnected.

I didn't bother calling back after that but a few minutes later they called me (I guess they had my contact info from the online orders I had tried to place). The shipping was prompt. I'm just still dealing with getting a refund now.

Hi ki76! This thread was just brought to my attention. I have found out that the refund was issued last week, but you should hear from someone shortly to make sure!

You also try FighterWarehouse.com for a huge selection and free shipping to Canada with no minimum purchase. You'll find a bunch of positive forum posts on our customer service, affiliate program, and free gear for product reviews.
 
To update, I received the refund on Monday, took a couple days to show up on the credit card statement online. Happy with my purchase otherwise.

I hate douche-bag retailers & manufacturers that hide behind a new account like this one only to plug their sorry a$s store and to hate on the legit ones.

Close down your sorry practices cowards. The real business are MMA-Overload, Fighter Warehouse, MMA Warehouse, TapouT, Hayabusa, Hitman, & Sprawl. These are the only companies that sponsor fighters, sponsor forums, and have decent service. Coincidentally, none of them hide behind fake a$s screen names to promote their products. They actually put money back in, so that's what I;m buying and that's where I'm shopping.

I know that hurt your feelings, but you're getting out of control and you needed to be called out.

People like you are the reason I hate forums and think they're a waste of time to post to. I came to read reviews before buying Christmas gifts and for that it's useful. But for some reason cowards feel empowered to be jerks, and ruin the forums. This is my last post wasting time on you and others like you.

I'm at UTEP, don't know why you care, but I support the whole sport instead of just dogging everything and everyone.
 
Because you don't point your finger at me, you're not calling me out? I endorse nobody on here and I sell nothing, you won't catch me doing it either. I get quite tired of the same sales routine over and over. It's one thing when a company has their website in their signature and they're giving useful information - and it's a complete other when I see "here at blankblank.com we don't do what blankblank2.com does." I don't really give a rats ass. I see you there... I know you exist. I'm not saying that FighterWarehouse is a bad company - I've heard no complaints, but enough is enough with the sales pitches.

...and to add to this, I don't mind pointing out a crappy company. Especially those in your neck of the woods. You can find your time to bitch moan and groan when it happens to you.

Out of curiousity, who was it that you were really calling out? I hope it isn't me that you think is "hiding behind a new account". I was looking for a pair of hayabusa shorts, and I found that mmagearonline had them in CAD. Since I live in Canada, I thought I'd save some money with the taxes and duties. But before I committed, I wanted to make sure the site was secure, and by all means a store of good rep.

Just wanted to make that clear, JUST incase it was me that you were calling out.
 
I just logged on and it looks that my pitch caused a small crap storm, so my apologies.
One of my jobs IS to promote the company but i've always intended to do so sensibly.

pickyourpain: I did unintentionally overlook the duties and tax issue. My bad. As for the sales pitches, understand that as site sponsors, Fighter Warehouse supports the forums financially and in exchange I occasionally throw a pitch out there for the company to try to stimulate the purchases, which allow us to keep supporting the forum and the sport.

MMA.Fan.1993: I appreciate the support, don't get me wrong. I just think that negative posts like that actually hurt us more than help because it focuses the whole thread into something else. Maybe these types of post are better in a flame thread or in PM.

All users: I'm sorry if anyone here feels that it has been excessive, I will try to correct course. But, please note I don't spam the forums, and I never talk bad about any other company. You can't stop competition, and competition forces companies to step up their game (like FW has), but I would like to see a couple of the other companies contribute as well and not just enjoy a free ride.

Thank you all for the support. I will pay closer attention to ensure my "pitches" are only applied to correct threads, but lets also keep battles to appropriate threads too.
