There has been quote a bit of hype train derailment going on lately, as fighters outside the UFC, and fighters in the early stages of their UFC career both experience the roller coaster of hype regarding a prospect's potential. This further proves there is only one place to truly test yourself - it isn't the regional circuit, Bellator, or Rizin - it is the Major League of MMA, UFC. Some prospects appear to be panning out, like Petr Yan, but for the most part, we get big flameouts. Is the scouting just off, or is the UFC competition really that much above and beyond the rest?
