MMA Trainer Tim Fitzpatrick Invents "New" T-Gripped Barbell

The guy is a dipshit. These have been around forever. We had one in our basement gym a long time ago that was from a friends dad he bought in the 80's. EliteFTS has sold the Swiss Bar for years.

As a general rule of thumb, there is absolutely nothing new in the fitness industry, and anyone trying to tell you otherwise is trying to sell you something overpriced.

So its a metal log without the log. Groundbreaking.

Joe DeFranco has those in his gym, Ive seen people benching with those on YouTube a bunch of times.

That video/segment was so awkward and cringe-worthy.

eases stress on the shoulder... unless it's an uncomfortable width for somebody.

Doing well in MMA requires you to have more retarded training tools than the other guy

I was just thinking of something like this for my bench press. My left shoulder has a weird geometry, and consequent impingement, and this may be just the thing.

after watching those douches train BJ Penn with their wobble boards and weird machines im not surprised when i see this kind of stuff

this bar is nothing new. defranco's gym has them, i remember some clips of guys doing bench with them. same deal as neutral grip DB presses, they are easier on the shoulders i believe? but the EFS bar is far superior with multiple hand positions available, like the previous poster noted the bar presented only has one, which makes it useless unless you are a carbon copy of that guy
i think the guy that is showing it off knows that its been around for awhile, but for the media he has got to dumb it down, and for marketing purposes, it pays to say its brand new and unheard of.

id love to get that EFS bar though. neutral DB presses are one of my fav RE movements and loading up a bar would be cool

Hmm, would those be better for deadlifts? Might encourage symmetry. Maybe more weight too since it kinda looks like a trap bar. Would be awkward to do olympic lifts with those.

I have a feeling that someone from the company will be in touch with us shortly. LOL.

He said he really believes in "muscle confusion."

I think this would really confuse my muscles...

off topic, but say that I prepare and warmup for deadlifts. And I'm about to begin my first set. But at the last minute and run over to a bench and start doing bench press. Will that be enough to confuse my muscles?

Hey Guys, Im a sales rep for this company, I think some of you guys took things the wrong way from viewing the clip, the clip was 3 mins long, so there wasnt too much that was said about this product. One misleading conception is about this new design of a parallel grip bar, We all know parallel grip pressing has been around as long as we can remember and how many bars and logs are out there, but 99% of the bars out there are a spin off of the long multi grip tricep bar that everyone is familiar with. It was not said that the T-GRIP is the first parallel grip bar, or that the owner of this company reinvented the light bulb. He just designed a few parallel grip barbells that may benifit a variety of athletes. The ergonomic placement of the handles is set for the average athlete, we do have a double handle bar that is also available for a narrow and wider grip, and custom made bars for anyone. The advantage of these patented designs, is the strait bar in between the handles that will allow you to get a full range of motion on various movements, and there is a variety of training for differant body parts that cannot be performed with the average parallel grip bars. For instance, Behind neck press, shrugs, hammer curls, and deadlifts. The inside (towards middle)of the oval shaped windows where the handles are is knurled for ez-curls and triceps extensions.

The company seems to have very loose employment criteria.
