Very good job, as usual!
As a very long time fan, Babalu's retirement was an emotional moment for me... but it was for the best.
Him and Zelg "Benkei" Galesic both left her gloves in the ring in 2013, 2 of my favorite fighters ever. And potentially GSP as well, hopefully he will come back stronger.
I'm sad, especially since nowadays I find it harder and harder to become a fan of the "new breed".
The new generation is very good, but I don't enjoy MMA as much as I did when I discovered PRIDE when it started, and I stopped going "wow this guy is awesome, I'll start watching all of his fights!"
I'm interested in guys like Gus or Daniel Cormier, but not "fan" like I was for Sakuraba, Fedor or Shogun. When it hurts when they lose. When you're screaming in joy when they win.
Maybe it's because I don't go as many events as I used to (I've been to only 2 UFC events in 2013... I used to go to 7/8 events a year since my first PRIDE live in 2003, going to PRIDE, DREAM, EliteXC/Strikeforce, K1 heroes, UFC events, it was amazing ), maybe the UFC monopoly, the lack of knees on the ground/stomps/soccer kicks (real MMA) and the death of Japanese MMA made my interest go down.
Bellator as put on some nice cards, but they can't compete with the UFC. And I'm tired of watching a scumbag like Dana being the face of the sport I love.
Anyway sorry for the rant, thanks for the vid, a little reminder that there is still some good stuff happening in MMA.
I feel kinda sorry for the fans that started following MMA recently, some of them may be annoying sometimes believing that everyone who fought before they started following the sport completely sucked and were always overrated, but they will never know the joy of attending a huge PRIDE event, of even watching it live on TV.
And I'm ranting again ^^'
Thanks Machinemen!
