MMA Fighters in San Diego

This may be an odd question but I'll ask it anyway.

Since being in SD, I've only seen a handful of MMA stars walking around or at 10P. Chris Leban, Ben Saunders, Phil Davis, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Pearl Gonzalez..

If any of you sherbros are here in SD- have you ran into any MMA fighters? Or did they all run off to hang out with Unc Dana in Las Vegas?

I don't think there are a ton of UFC fighters here, I probably wouldn't even recognize a lot of them if I saw them on the street. I'd be willing to bet a lot of the ones that used to train here like Diego Sanchez have run off to Vegas or New Mexico.

Isnt Alliance MMA in SD? Cruz, Davis, I think Gustafsson even trained there a little bit.

One of the local radio stations used to do a weekly MMA segment with Brandon Vera, and during that time they ran a couple of events where you could meet fighters. I went to one and got to meet him, Chris Leben, Phil Davis and Jeremy Stevens. Also I know Cat Zingano did a local one-off book-signing a couple of months ago, as I believe she lives in SD as well. Saw Diego Sanchez riding a beach cruiser on the boardwalk in PB, but that was a number of years back.

Just go Join Alliance, you'll bump into the best of em. It's right by the Chula Mall. I personally haven't, but I'd know where to go if I wanted to.

Hasn't been one since Mir x Duffee, don't think SD is very receptive to UFC for some reason.

Used to see Dean Lister years ago. Never saw anyone else besides someone I knew before they fought.

My friend used to do a kickboxing class with Vera.
I saw Diego Sanchez listed as the master chef for the day at Red Lobster once. But that was also many years ago. And maybe it was someone else. Although, if I saw Diego wearing a chef hat, it kinda wouldn't surprise me, just because.
