I like all these beshind the scenes cool stories. I heard quite a few, red some books, and a lot from sherdog as well. I run into some forum with unheard for me new behind the scenes stories. I don't know if they are true or not, so take this with a grain of salt and I don't mean to disrespect no fighter.
Here are a few..enjoy and post yours:
In 1996 when Paul Varelans did a worked shoot fight in ECW against Taz? It turns out Varleans was, perhaps surprisingly not, the fifth choice.
Choice one was Royce Gracie. Paul Heyman was informed the chances of Gracie agreeing to work a fight was never happening, regardless of the cash figure.
Ken Shamrock was choice two, and while he was willing to do the match, he would only do it if he was going to be guaranteed to win.
Tank Abbott agreed to do it, then changed his mind saying if he was taking the worked fight, he'd job only if he could "break his fucking jaw" first.
Kimo was willing to do it, but wanted more money than Paul Heyman was willing to offer.
Finally, Varelans looking for a payday was approached and agreed to do so. When he got to the arena, he had a change about wanting to lose, only agreeing to do so after Missy Hyatt offered to blow him.
