I have been starting my training back up and noticed that when I hit the heavy bag I cut my knuckles up when I use mma 4 oz gloves. I was wondering if any of you have this problem? I saw some some mma bag gloves at CSI but they have that bar on the palm not sure if I want that.

I think the grip bar is to help absorb the blows better. There are also some MMA Training gloves that have a lot of padding that might work for you......boxing gloves are great for bag work though.

Wear standard boxing bag gloves, with hand wraps. There is no reason to wear MMA gloves for heavy bag work, unless you want to fuck up your hands. If you absolutely have to wear MMA gloves, then at least get some that are large enough for you to wrap your hands underneath.
