Francis Ngannou is friends with Tyson Fury right? Well instead of boxing him, why not fight on his undercard? Have Ngannou the MMA heavyweight champ defend his title in a ring, in a co-main event?

Is that possible? Can boxing and MMA be on the same card? Or do they have to adjust the ring ropes and bring in different judges etc?

Happened before on some RJJ organised event in iirc 2009. Cant remember the name now but I think Jeff Monson was on it.

Edit: here ya go

Maybe we can bring a football as well and play some football
Or some tennis balls for a quick tennis match Love tennis

I'm a fan of both but not interested in something like that.

Boxing purists absoltutley do not want MMA on their boxing cards. Same with MMA fans tbh.

ONEFC pulls it off because in Asia, they dont mind the mixing up of styles, and theirs a long history of doing so.

I dislike mixed cards already...

No thanks.

I mean in One FC they do everything and they had an event in the US so in theory it works
Consistently I dont think it does, outside of Asia.

When you have all the best fighters in the world at what they do,seperation only hurts. It never helps.

Batyrball is the only sport that should be on MMA cards

I'd like to see mixed rules, MMA vs boxer.

1st round boxing so the boxer has a chance of winning

Round 2 MMA where the boxer get taken down and violated

Would be funny to see.

Yeah I'll agree that for a casual audience it's probably not a good selling point. I still dig it though.

ONE FC does it, and if they had better mma roster their product would be vastly superior to UFC.

Having a variety of rule sets is exciting / intriguing.

Having a grappling match with a Ruotolo brother, followed by a kickboxing match featuring the almighty Superbon is top flight martial arts entertainment.. imagine adding elite level mma into that mix..
