It's been awhile so this is the timeline on Joe Kelly AFAIK:
-6-7 Years of average middle of the bullpen RP
-Great postseasn that is a outlier to the rest of his career, wins the WS with the "cheating Red Sox" against the Dodgers
    - Dodgers overpay for a middle of the pen reliever because of his hot postseason.
-Posts a Negative WAR , season below his already mediocre career numbers with the dodgers
-Gives up multiple runs in 2 of the 3 playoff games he appeared, including a grand slam in extra innings of the final game of the NLDS to knock the dodgers out of the playoffs.
-Shows up and hits another team of cheaters, even though he won a ring with a team of cheaters.
    -Prosper

Just makes me laugh because I'm in a group chat with a bunch of dodger fans (Live in SoCal..) and they suddenly love the guy. Dude is a genius TBH, should be the most hated guy on the team but is willing to throw at a team that can't throw back so he's the GOAT. Keep doing your thing Joe

I guess the Nats were cheating last year too. Poor Dodgers.

He's being made an example of. Yes, the Astros cheated, but MLB doesn't want teams head hunting with pitches as a punishment.

Now, this could've been solved with some extremely harsh punishments to the Astros for cheating, but it is what it is. They don't want anyone convulsing on the field after being being hit in the head with a 96mph fastball, over the whole fiasco.

none of this would’ve ever happened or been so cheered if the Astros had been properly punished in the first place. Instead canfred down played it as “a piece of metal” and gave them a slap on the wrist. Like I said, the guys a joke.

I don't disagree. Just saying, it is what it is. They're not about to let the Astros just get beaten up with bean balls. That shit can go south in a hurry. If some guy got severely hurt buy a pitch, the cheating wouldn't matter much, and it would all be about MLB allowing it to happen. Regardless of the circumstances, a line in the sand has to be drawn.

MLB is checking into how it could have happened. I don't know what they can do for punishments. Can they suspend players without pay?

It is pretty funny, but not surprising. Baseball players are such sensitive babies.

Like I’ve never understood why the bat flip thing is so offensive. “Well you’re not a baseball purist, you wouldn’t understand.”

Looks like Phillies season is done. 2nd series in a row canceled and there is no way they play the next series in Florida against Marlins.

Shane Bieber is going to feast on these 7 inning games. We are witnessing an absolute masterclass by a pitcher right now, and it’s a shortened season to keep him fresh.

Actually you can say that about the entire Indians starting rotation.
