Hey sherdog, I was wondering how much the koral MKM gi shrinks. I am 5"8 and 153 pounds.. Which is the Max an A1 can be. So should I go for the A 1 (5"4-5"8, 125 to 155) or go with the A2 (5"8-6"0) (155-190) and shrink it? Thanks.

Mine didn't shrink at all. But I wash it in cold water and hang dry.

I have an A2 and I am 5'9 3/4 and 174lbs and it fits perfectly.

Mine didn't shrink at all either. I washed it in cold and hung dry the first 10 times or so then just washed in hot and threw in the regular dryer.

Best gi I've ever used. The fit is really good. I'm 6'1, 170 and wear an A2.

Koral MKM is by far the best gi I have ever had (just got a new one for christmas :) ) They barely shrink if at all. An a1 should fit you fine even if you throw it in the dryer.

Get the A1.
Moral MKM doesn't shrink at all. I tried with my last one...hot was and hot dry multiple times...nothing.
The A2 would be way to big for you.

I'm 5'8" and 150lbs and the Koral A1 gi's are perfect IMO. I have the Classic and Lite series and they both fit great for my size with minimal shrinkage.

i have a white one and the ultra cool navy blue one. their first washes were in cold and line dried. after that warm and warm on both.

zero shrinkage at all. i am 5'6" and 140lbs at the most. my A1's are perfect fits!!

no shrink.

I cold wash and hang dry and A-2 that fits me perfect. Im 5'10 and 160lb. It hasn't shrunk at all.

What would you guys recommend for me?

I'm 5'8, 160-170 lbs. Muscular build. (The Koral Classic A2 fits well when I'm around 170. The top is slightly baggy when I'm 160. From What I understand the MKM, although more fitted, is somewhat larger than the Classic).

Oh, and I've read that the colored ones are also a bit larger than the white ones. Can anybody verify this? Any differences between the older and newer line, except for the patches?

Thanks.

Ts you got your total grappling record wrong in your sig. You have 1 loss for both gi and no gi, so you should have 2 losses total.

No, I think the NOGI was a draw and the Gi was a loss...so it would only be 1 loss.
23 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss

That's how I read it :icon_chee
