my gameness gi pants ripped a week ago and ive been rolling with a hole on my but that just grows bigger after every pass, i can't really afford a new gi right now so i'm thinking about buying a pair of mizuno pants frpm a guy at a judo club where i train, they are like 40bucks and my trainer says that mizumo makes the best gi's (at least for judo) but he's talking about their 500dollar gi's i guess :icon_twis
but does anyone know the overall qulity on their pants or for judo pants in general, they seem to be a bit thinner than the standard bjj pants

I've used my Judo pants for about 3 years and have had no problems.

not to hijack the thread, but any other information on mizuno would be appreciated as well. anyone have the rickson gi?

I don't own any, but I have heard from many sources that the Howard Combat Kimono pants are the thickest around. Supposedly they feel almost like a pair of jeans. Some people dislike them because of their thickness, but if you are worried about flimsy pants, they are probably the strongest around.

You can buy their pants separately for $30 a pair.

I have several of the Rickson Mizuno gis. Most guys at his school wear them. They are certainly some of the best BJJ gis made, but they aren't cheap. E.g., the Conquest model (gold weave) is close to $200.

Check them out at www.rickson.com.

i concur.

if you are looking for a pair of think pants go with the Howards.

I carry both the Mizuno (entire line BJJ and JUDO) and HCK. If you just want the pants go with the HCK pants. They will run you about $25-30 and are the best made pants around.

THe Mizuno Rickson gi is cut tight to the body and the SPORT model starts at $80 and the TRADITIONAL starts at $150 and the CONQUEST starts at $190.

How did your Gameness gi pants rip? Are they that cheap they rip easily?

the mizuno is nice, i have their judo gis and a guy at are gym i roll with has the conquest... Its a nice gi but their judo gis seem to be of a higher quality then their jiujitsu gis.. Imop.

But Im comparing double weaves to the conquest.... Which you read above is a gold.

I just like thick gis.

Anyways GET THE PANTS

probably just weared them out, i bought the gameness gi when i started bjj (2years ago) so they have been through alot, but the jacket is still fine so that's why ill only get the pants now...

I don't think Gamenss just sells just the pants, but I can find out for you. If you email me I can give you their contact info. If you can't get a pair of Gameness pants I'd go with the HCK pants.
