I was reading The Book of Five Rings and then some info about Musashi himself. What I found interesting is that it is said, according to wikipedia, that he died at the age of 60-61, presumably of lung cancer. But the thing is, there's no credible source for that. I did a google search and there are results that say lung cancer, throat cancer, even stomach cancer??? But again, the sources don't seem credible enough to me. So, can anyone into Musashi and eastern philosophy shed some light on this? Is there some more legitimate source about his cause of death, how did they presume that he died of lung cancer? It's also really weird that someone like Musashi, judging by his lifestyle and the time period and place in which he lived, to die so early and by illness like that. I mean, obviously cancer is not new, but it still sounds kinda odd.
