Mixing some aspects of ninjutsu into boxing (footwork, way of strikes, etc)

that just shows how elusive the ninja really were! the greatest trick the devil ever pulled is convincing people he didn't exist. ok, i'm just being a smartass/joking. i don't really know anything about ninjutus, but there is a dojo in my area, and i seem to see their bumper stickers on minivans a lot, so maybe that location is popular for kids/families

Ahh, I see you're a member of the Black Dragon Society...trained by Ashida Kim, the legend:

Ok so i just wanted to let everybody know that i have chosen to take up ninjutsu (that is totally free at the mosque that my dad goes to), so every sat and since my days off from my main job when i'm not doing uber eats is mon, thurs, sat, sun (obviously the uber eats helps me pay for shit more).

So heres the thing, i'm doing it because i think it would help with my footowork which i'm already working on, and will help with my punching power too. I went to the mosque today for the first time in a while, and i seen the mats after people were sparring, them shits looked like someone got murdered, lol not really but it looks like blood sat on the ground from left hooks, and right hands (right cross). Now i am going to mix in some of the ninjutsu footwork and ways of striking in with my boxing, they are also going to do some conditoning too so yeah.

And i got the idea of doing this from my friend in ny who i have said before comes from a karate background, and has hands like bricks in kickboxing, he could fuck anybody up on the streets. Also i'm doing this so i can be a little more well rounded too, because i know ninjutsu has a little bit of grappling.

In the words of Bruce Lee..use what works for you and forget the rest...

If you feel your footwork will or is improving keep using the ninjitsu stuff

Never limit yourself to one style, is my mindset all martial arts and fighting styles have something to offer..in certain moments

However if your wishing only to compete in boxing, make sure your studying the sweet science more then the ninjitsu..as boxing is a pretty specific sport with strict rules and forms..

Best of luck ..keep training..always learning

Well, i saw video at 9:50-9:56 in post at 8:33 AM
This specialist can be esaily defeated by awerage street thug.

I saw in youtube some oters sources ninjutsu, it looks like just less watered down traditional Japanesse jiu jitsu, some call this jujutsu in english internet.
What is ninja, I don't know.

For boxing in ring nothing are better than good boxing club, not ninjas. Stance even for beginner amateur boxing could be developed only in boxing training, not from another arts.

For self defense of course, you must watch legs, defend attacks with foot swaps, kicks etc and Yes, for this purpose good quality Japanesse traditional jiu jitsu will be maybe even better than point fighting modern karate. I mean with brutal Atemi Waza, what I thik shold be taught together with high physical condition requirements and fighter's soul there newer hestitate to be brutal.

Wtf happened to this subforum...

Take a few classes and try it out for fun, you might learn something, the coach could be cross trained in different things. At this point I think you know enough to spot bull shit or not. Most likely it is, and most likely you will be better off sticking with boxing. But give it a try and see, aikido, tkd, and karate is a good combo. I also know that in the middle East they are big on kk and other martial arts so your probably going to learn differently at the mosque then at ninja school. I say go for it and see what you think

And for the jokes, apparently this guy is a ninja too! Man the garbage that's being fed to the youth of SA is ridiculous.

We could always ask this guy

As I wrote (or forgot to mention :D) in annother thread I trained Ninjutsu for several years very intense and would say I know a little bit about it as I did Judo and Karate before (boxing now) and was pretty close to Hombu Dojo in Japan & Ireland.

Wont bore anyone with a long story but if there are questions I should be able to answer most from a neutral point of view.
