So, I've never paid Gagnon any additional thought before UFC 165 and didn't think he was anything special, but during his fight, I just had to admit: his arm-in guillotine on Dustin Kimura was impressive as fuck and completely caught me off-guard as Kimura was the one I considered to be a submission specialist.

I then checked out Gagnon's record, and found it to be somewhat peculiar: all of his wins, except 1 by a slam, have come via either a guillotine choke or a rear naked choke in the first round.

Personally, records like this always impress the hell out of me and make me look forward to seeing wheter a guy can keep it up or not, so I thought I'd share.

He must be secretly training at Team Alpha Male.

Let's get him and Cody McKenzie in a catch weight, winner take all. 24 Wins combined, 17 Guillotine's combined.

I noticed that too about his record and I was going to make a thread about it yesterday but everyone was busy talking about the main event that I didn't. Still thought Schaub should have received the bonus since he was the first HW to win with a darce.

Heh. In general, people don't give a fuck about fighters that lose in their UFC debuts, unless there's a massive amount of hype behind them beforehand. That's just the way it is. These kinds of fighters are considered to have been "exposed" for not being UFC level.

Fan of Gagnon, picked him to win his last 2, I've enjoyed all 3 of his UFC fights. Stout little fucker, heavy hands, great aggressive submission game.

Mitch is fun as fuck to watch. Was absolutely whooping the shit out of Caraway before he gassed too.

Gagnon would probably get his first KO win via strikes, though. Would be nasty if one of them landed a guillotine :icon_evil
