In a non title fight.

All your opponents are drained making weight, by the time they're told that you have missed weight, they can either drop the fight or keep going.

If they drop the fight, they

-Lose a potential W
-Lose all their earnings as they wont fight. Potential bonus gone.
- Drained their body cutting weight for nothing
- Dana will most likely hate that

Most of the time opponents will be forced to take the fight anyway.

If youre rich and dont care about money at all, you loose 30% of your purse... Who the hell cares, you still have money.

Easy way to come up with an undefeated record/great streak

Come in day of fight with a 25 lbs advantage over youre oppenents! Yolo

Big loophole imho. Thoughts

Believe it or not, but consistently annoying your promoter isn't usually a good career move.

When im ko'ing opponents silly im pretty sure promoters will like that

In the case of Dern she can get away with it because the PR machine is behind her

What? No. That won't ever work. C'mon dude.

Worked for Yoel against Rockhold

People are arguing your point, but someone kept track and 11 out of the last 12 times a fighter missed weight they won. Making a habit out of it would be career suicide.

But intentionally not even trying hard to make the weight, while your opponent drains themselves? It's moronic to say that doesn't give the fighter that missed weight an advantage. And we've seen people miss in high profile fights and title eliminators and then go on to smash their opponent.

False. They still get show money. Whereas the fat pig who missed weight LOSES money by having spent months in a training camp and getting nothing in return, and probably gets cut from the UFC.

You didnt think this shitpost through now did you

Tell that to Rumble. Scored a monstrous headkick KO the fight before he missed weight against Vitor and was cut after it.

There's a certain degree of leniency that obviously varies with the value of a fighter, but you cant get away with continually missing weight, will either move up or be cut.

Hasn't worked out well for some in the past.

Mackenzie needs to fight at 135

Unless the promotor has a hard on for you. Dern is the woman they want to push.

I believe Mayweather intentionally did this against Marquez. $600,000 was nothing to him. He already had a significant size advantage and didn’t have to make the weight cut. Honestly, he didn’t look like he even tried.

I will lure her to my domain with a trail of cookies.

How could he not???
If a soothsayer would have foretold early 2000s dana that all this would transpire,he would have had chuck bolo punch him for telling obvious lies.

Unless you're a significantly popular fighter this is going to get you cut. Also means you won't ever be trusted to fight in a title fight.

You cant keep doing it in a row. You gotta at least look like you tried and pretend shame, not ask where the food at?

Old boxing trick, been done many times. Last one i remember is floyd vs JMM.

Cruz said it was “intelligent” tonight on the weigh-in show

Of course, Cruz, my favorite fighter brought it up.

Its something ive been talking about.

Thank you for letting me know its an old boxing trick
