A thread was just put up about a fight in the TUF China Finale being a WTF type mismatch, a Pride level mismatch if you will. What upcoming fights do you guys see and thought "WTF?" when they were announced, or at least have one guy as a big favorite in your mind. A good example would be the Cody McKenzie v. Chad Mendes matchup of last year.

It's funny how you never really know.

I remember when Hatsu Hioki fought Ricardo Lamas. Nobody gave Lamas a chance. I remember reading a prediction from the mmafighting app which is usually unbiased. It literally said, Hioki odds are a little over -200 which is a perfect bet since he is a virtual lock.

Hahahahaha yeah, I remember that too.

Yeah boi

Mendes VS McKenzie

Wow.

Really any Cody McKenzie fight, crazy thing is he wins some of them.

rumble brenneman. i called it when it was announced and was right. brenneman looked like a 12 year old trying to fight his dad.

Silva-Bonnar

meh. id agree up to an extent. that fight was primarily sold on bonnar's durability which was in fact true and not a ufc "tough as nails" compliment that gets thrown away to often.

I honestly thought stephan had a shot at smothering him via size if he was gonna win.

However I did think silva was gonna win.

Jones vs Sonnen is probably up there, but mendes vs mckenzie was the worst.

Recently, Kawajiri and Sean Soriano. Also Mizugaki and Phan. What kind of matchmaking was that?

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Abel Trujillo
Shogun vs Vera(obviously more competitive than expected)
Phil Davis vs Wagner Prado
Joseph Benavidez vs Darren Uyenoyama
Frankie Edgar vs Charles Oliveira(obviously more competitive than expected)
Cormier vs Nelson
Mendes vs Lentz
Jim Miller vs Fabricio Camoes
Cowboy vs Adriano Martins
