Really tough one to call.... I'm gonna go back and forth on this one, I know it. But as it stands, I gotta go with Cormier. Undefeated at HW and has fought much bigger HW's than Miocic. Power in his hands, Olympic level wrestling, good sub skills.

So Pumped!!! Now this is a "Super-Fight"... Cormier was legit at heavyweight. Grappling and Striking on point with wicked slams. But Stipe... The dude is a beast. Probably the most well-rounded fighter in the UFC. Going with Miocic. But never count out DC...

Let's see

-DC has never fought a top 5 HW (per Sherdog rankings).
-Stipe has never fought an elite wrestler.
-DC's striking defense is terrible. He eats leg kicks, body shots and head kicks like Popeye's chicken wings.
-Stipe often leaves his chin exposed
-Cormier's TD defense isn't great
-Neither has outstanding cardio
-Both got hurt/dropped not long ago
-Both fight in awfully weak divisions, and you could argue neither is really the best fighter in their weight class (Jones/Cain probably are).

Too many flaws on both sides. Can go either way. This can be hardly considered a super fight from a skill perspective.

Notice how thats the only clip from that fight anyone ever uses to hype up DC, because in actuality the rest of that fight was super close and a tough ass fight for DC. Wow he slammed him, BFD. Josh is a catchwrestler. Stipe is NCAA D1.. And actually DC even admitted post fight that Josh helped that slam by rolling for a kneebar midair.

I voted Miocic only because Cormier is getting older. I think he is taking this fight because it is getting harder for him to cut to 205 because he is used to being bigger. Cormier is going to have to put on weight over the next few months whereas Miocic can train and doesn't need to add or subtract weight.

Miocic has better hands, can take a punch, and has good enough wrestling to keep the fight standing in my opinion, but you simply cannot count out Cormier because he did beat some pretty decent names at HW before the switch to LHW.

tough call indeed. atm i'm leaning towards stipe. dc likes to grind, but i think stipe is tough enough to withstand it. plus stipe has a huge reach advantage.

He has done it to nearly everyone he has faced. The Gus flip is probably my favorite.
