By most poll numbers , Miocic comes out as goat 45% of the time, Fedor 35%, Cain 15%, 10% for others. Do you agree? Plural goat is not clear goat. Miocic beats Cain in a future matchup and it goes up to 90%.

I have invented the concept-now go and tell me who r clear goats and who r plural goats (goat by less than 51% vote amongst fans , disputed goat , other contenders)

assuming your numbers are correct, i'd like to now remind you that roughly half of sher-sheep always claim the current champ is GOAT. in 2010 the number of people who thought a 5-1 Brock was GOAT was incredibly high. later it was Cain. later it was JDS. Werdum. now Stipe.

i'm not saying Stipe isn't. i'm not not saying he isn't (triple negative, bitches). but i am saying a lot of mma fans cannot think past their own damn thumbs.

in general, GOAT debates are tedious. but attempting to assign GOAT during a career is especially daft.

we should let the historians define GOAT.

Show the numbers.

I guess you are not biased, Mr. croatian_republican.

Stipe shouldn't be penalized because Cain doesn't fight.

Is this according to Einstein's formal scientific definition of GOAT?

Werdum is above Fedor and far above Cain.

Screw Cain overhype hope he comes back and gets KO

Miocic is UFC HW GOAT, Fedor is just GOAT

Fedor got KO by a under 200lb MW and got manhandled by Big Foot.

I think if we’re talking not UFC then Werdum and Nog both get more support than Cain, and maybe even Stipe.

Fedor has the best resume among HWs and probably always will. It’s really hard to imagine anyone putting together a resume like that, especially with so few fresh HWs establishing themselves.

I think Stipe might be skill for skill the best fighter at HW and is definitely the best UFC HW ever, but I seriously doubt even a plurality will label him GOAT over Fedor. Lots of people consider Fedor the P4P GOAT, much less HW.

Normal people doesnt think in long term. Fedor is the GOAT no matter what random overhyped people vote.

Prime Cain mops the floor with him imo. I don't think we will see Cain perform that well anymore though.

The biggest thing to consider is fans have short term memory. If Stipe was before Cains run everyone would say Cain is the GOAT because of the maulings he gave everyone.

Fedor
Cain

Stipe

Also consider the age group of a lot of the 2015 and newer members.

Someone did not take Statistics 101.

By everyone you mean... three people? And one of them is Bigfoot? Lol

Would we consider him goat because of his resume or how he matches up to the rest of HW relative to his era? Or What?

Because Fedor gives him a run for his money in both aspects.

Fedor, Jones, Anderson, GSP, Aldo, & MM dominated their divisions as champions for 6-7 years each.
Stipe's undefeated streak is 6 fights and 3 years.

People gotta chill.

Agreed. Clear case of recency bias. Also, many fans who declare a certain fighter to be GOAT simply aren't qualified to engage in those conversations (i.e., they haven't been around long enough to understand the careers or context of older GOAT candidates).

this IMO.

People are too excitable with "potential".
Like I always said: if Stipe stopped fighting NOW, he would not have surpassed any fighter who was at the top for years (like Fedor). He CAN pass him. But defending 3 times his belt is a joke when compared with a decade unbeaten.

Just look at Cain. Could have been the GOAT, but injuries kept him out for so long, than he probably will never get to the top 3... but could have been if he spent him prime in the octagon instead of a hospital bed...
