Minnesota bans ALL social gatherings outside your household. $1k-$25k fines; 90 days in jail.

These governors are acting like straight up tyrants

"They're just trying to slow the spread and keep us all safe."

Right. That's why they supported thousands of people gathering to protests for weeks during a pandemic but will fine and jail you for going to a friend's house for some turkey
Don't be anti science. We all know Covid has specific large gatherings it targets.

No. They don’t. What “power” would they gain? Do you assume all the elites are outside having orgies in the streets while you stay at home? What is this mythical power?

The power to control people lives, the power to make people dependent and obedient.

Australia has full stadiums with 50+ thousand people for sports events.

At the same time, they now have a "cannot-exit-house" lockdown in one region because of 22! new covid cases.

22! = 1,124,000,727,777,607,680,000 people <Eek2.0>

Yeah that’s what this is, a giant conspiracy by the global elites to make you docile. Totally.

Wow... Orwell is now the guidebook for the Democratic Party. It was supposed to be a warning, not used to seize power and control.

The twits that are good with it don't deserve Freedom, they don't deserve to be called Americans.

this is what fascism looks like. what next? the government going to put the anti-maskers on trains to concentration camps? take away their businesses? mark them with a gold star? if you support this, you're a fucking Nazi.

Obviously. The millisecond a cops shoots a black dude, Covid will disappear again.

It’s dangerous to very sick people over 80.

Africa is beating it because they don’t have many very sick people over 80.

We are doing this wrong. Yes, sadly the herd may thin a little, but that’s life. We die. We make what we leave behind better.. It goes against our greed training, but that’s the sad reality.

This new law is extreme but it has come to this because far too many rural and small town folks are not wearing masks and social distancing.

North and South Dakota have the worst infection rate. They should be have the lowest infection rate because there is only like 9 people in both States. But these Republican voting States just won't take mask wearing seriously.

Every Midwest state has a mask mandate and high usage (around 90%). It’s pretty much a fact at this point that focusing on mask use to control this has been a massive failure.

May as well keep flailing away with other restrictions that don’t work so that when cases inevitably go down on their own, politicians can try to take credit for it.

I don't get that it seems like a vaccine is pretty much around the corner and have of the WR is still of the opinion that "fuck it, just let the old people die"

I'm just gonna protest black lives and celebrate bidens win.

Then explain to me why California is near the bottom for infections per capita while North and South Dakota are at the top. Califronia and NY should be near the top due to population density, number of people coming in from out of State and widespread use of mass transit.

Small town bars won't close. I mean the ones where they literally have a shotgun behind the bar and it's been family run for 120 years ;)

Walz can suck my Balz.

We had a senior high school server for our last dinner out (apparently) and the place was getting packed. They were in good spirits, but it made me go to a different place mentally. I been working since I was 13. 37 now, and I've always WANTED to work. In this case, I couldn't really imagine being 17/18 and being told I FUCKING CAN'T -- especially with the amount of people just sucking on the government tit that will of course dry up. 27 trillion =/= stable and borderline socialism/communism on the agenda.

Sad to see this shit, because economically, any governor doing this is a moron. They are literally putting thousands of local businesses out of biz by design -- and it's intentional. They want to crush the middle class and this is exactly what's happening.

This is about control, and it violates the constitution on more levels than you asshat basement face mask huggers can ever explain away.

They want unquestioning drones who don't think for themselves. Looks like they are getting it.

The Midwest (SD, ND, MN, WI, MI) seems to be getting slammed in this surge.

Hope all the Sherbros in those states are staying safe.
Fine and dandy. Coworker tested positive and was out for 2 weeks. His only symptom was loss of sense of smell.
