Did any one ever have or still has one of these?

I'd like to have one myself though I'm not sure if you can get newer albums for it.

Yes. They were awesome back in the day. Didn't have to worry about them scratching like CDs, they were smaller, and you could record. Not sure why they weren't more popular. Not sure why you'd want one nowadays though.

I had this one

Buy a used old iPhone or iPod

Those didn’t do very well and even when they were out there wasn’t much out there for them and the disks didn’t have much storage space compared to say buying a 50.00 or less iPhone 4 16g and just using it as an iPod.

Yep I had one and I loved it. I was convinced it was gonna be the future lolz. I converted a ton of my cd collection on minidiscs. Used to rock out to orgy and silverchair with my player

That's the downside to these things not much storage space on a blank one

As for as iPhones or smart phones go I don't want one.

That's the one I had. It was fuckin awesome. No skipping either.

I remember I really wanted the Sony Mini-disc multi-track recorder back in the day. But alas, I was stuck with my Tascam 4-track (which was awesome too).

its hilarious how quickly technology becomes obsolete

anyone ever have one of these?

I love my mini disc and still listen to it sometimes, just because it still works.
It was superior to mp3s at that time when I got it, in particular in sound quality and ease of use.
Not that much difference either in terms of storage for the early models, but the mp3s soon got better.

This was my first. It wasn't good but at least I was able to listen to my songs when I was out and about. I later bought an Ipod Classic 6th Generation and I loved!! Man, I was so attached to that thing I almost cried when it died. Now I have a Spotify account lol

I've had everything from 8-track to present.

I loved my old Minidisc. I resisted the whole Mp3 thing for as long as I could. Was going to take my Minidisc to the grave with me. But then my Dad snapped me out of it by buying me an Mp3 Player.
