Worst thing to ever happen in the History of Boxing. Only good thing that can come from this is if one of the them dies in the ring and no will ever attemp to do it again. No REAL Boxing fan should watch this.

Tyson had a successful hit international one man show he has been doing for years. = big money
He also has one of the biggest podcast in the world currently. =Huge money
He did win some lawsuits and got millions back as well.
Dude is rich again....
Roy Jones also still trains and gets TV contract money.
They both are just fine....

According to a report Thursday by Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole, Tyson and another legend, Roy Jones Jr., will participate in an eight-round heavyweight exhibition September 12. The location of the fight, according to Iole, will be Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Iole also noted that Tyson and Jones will wear 12-ounce gloves, but not headgear. Boxers above the welterweight limit of 147 pounds wear 10-ounce gloves in sanctioned professional fights.

Tyson and his handlers have put a hold on the September 12 date, according to Andy Foster, the executive director of the California State Athletic Commission, which will oversee the exhibition.

“This isn’t a situation where they’re going out there to try to take each other’s heads off,” Foster told Yahoo! Sports. “They’re just going to be in there moving around the ring and letting fans see these legends.”

Tyson should kill him. He's too big, his hands are still very fast, and power is the last thing to go, and Mike has it in spades.

I'm willing to bet Roy outweighs Tyson by a decent amount. Tyson looks like a middleweight/super middleweight now a days.

Apparently Tyson's networth is around $3m right now. Not what it once was but not too bad for a guy who had tens-of-millions in debt & had to declare bankruptcy.
 
This is going to be so explosive......... for the first 25 seconds.

Seriously, don't be surprised if this is glorified sparring. I know everyone is hoping for a Rocky 6 style exhibition turned full blown fight, but they're long enough in the tooth to not let ego get in the way and know what they want. A decent payday followed by a nice lie down.

We still see them at times. The most recent example that comes to mind is Usyk vs Hunter. Hunter got a standing 8 count in that fight a couple years ago. Cornermen are also not supposed to throw the towel but they do it anyway and will continue to despite it being explicitly against the rules.

Will Not watch. And that 1 death might save many many more for death by having promotions trying to the same thing later on.
 
Mike Tyson was never a bad guy. He was surrounded by bad company who were only interested in exploiting him for their personal gain. He bit Evander Holyfield's ear because he was headbutted repeatedly. He was sent to prison for being black, rich, eccentric, and in a violent sport. Hopefully he can find some deserved peace in life.

I won’t watch it. However, I’ve no problems with these 2 fckin legends making some coin if people want to watch it. If one of these guys wanted to fight a current fighter, like nigel benn did, I would be very concerned
