Perry is a true brawler but last night Luque transformed him into a panic wrestler.
I'm only punctuating this detail who could pass unnoticed because of war.

This is MMA. You score a takedown you get point.

he got his nose broke off a knee, then reached down for the leg. try harder breh

i think he did it for points, not out of desperation

People want to keep saying he's Robbie 2.0 and that's such a fucking lie. As @HHJ told me he's Phil Baroni 2.0. Watch and enjoy his fights before he gets cut.

He always uses some wrestling you dork
He ground game is underrated

He wont get cut that easy. Baroni lost like 5 in a row before he got cut. Perry being better than that, people really want him to stay if hes gonna lose exciting fights like this.

Panic Wrestling is a myth. Wrestling is a part of fighting, actually the best and most effective.

Still funny to see Conor become the coin he termed. That goes to show you how dumb the term is to begin with.

the fight would have been stopped if anyone with a conscience could actually see his face, all that wrestling did for him was keep him in there to suffer even more. i cant actually think of another fight where someone was grotesquely injured like this but it was concealed because they were grappling.

mike was confirmed as an actual maniac tonight

Why don't we focus on the positive. The dude showed other worldly toughness. Remember what Rich Franklin did when Anderson destroyed his nose with that knee? He turned his back to Silva and staggered off and then fell down and covered up. No one criticized him for quitting. No one criticized Rory Mcdonald for quitting when his nose was destroyed. Not only did Perry not quit, he immediately got the takedown after his nose was shattered and weathered an extremely tight choke and finished the fight swinging. I can't imagine what it would feel like to have your nose crushed like that and to keep fighting... I'm unbelievably impressed with him. Not to mention he was within a whisker of winning.

Yeah, he could face the bottom of the barrel fighters and the new fighters that debut but everytime he gets a step up in competition he will most likely lose. Isn't his best win an over-the-hill Ellenberger? I guess you could give him Alex Oliveira as well.

you're punctuating this detail because you're a bitch

He’s better than baroni but nowhere as good as Lawler — I think the leben comp was quite good

He performed better than I expected yesterday — he’s a solid top 25 guy who puts on exciting fights and should be around for a long time
