Miguel Torres and Conor...

Conor could punch a ref or do a Paul Daley and the UFC still wouldn't get rid of him.

He'd better not get too cute with Steve Mazzagatti! Trying to panic wrestle him will have Conor ending up tied up in a butterfly guard.

Has Conor ever been in a boring fight?

Why do you all want him out of the sport you "love"?

You guys need therapy...

If you make them money you get a pass. Paul Daley got a lifetime ban for hitting Koscheck after the fight, but Khabib gets a suspension for jumping out of the cage and starting a fight with the opposition corner.

It is what it is.
Conor got nothing from the bus incident.

So Torres got snuffed ASAP for quoting a bad rape "joke".
I am perfectly fine with that. It was very stupid of him. At least should have gotten a serious warning.

Conor is gloating about the death of a fighter's father/mentor/trainer...

Nothing from the UFC.
How far can he go with his jail free card because the UFC is all about just greed?

WEC Torres was awesome. I hated he got cut over that, but understood. If McRat didn’t generate tons of $$, he would’ve been cut after the bus incident. Dude is probably pushing the limits assuming he’s untouchable. Unfortunately it’ll probably take one of those Me Too cases for him to go down.

Torres never actually got cut for the rape joke. For obvious PR reasons, Dana announced he was being cut before letting the smoke die down. Then a few weeks later Dana announced Torres was back in the UFC because he had "handled his business like a man." Less than 4 months later he lost to Michael McDonald by 1st round KO and got cut after that.

You could argue the UFC saw him as a PR liability after the rape joke but on balance he was 3-4 over his last 7 and had lost to the other big contenders at that point.

When they let Conor go to the weigh-ins wearing his own bar's shirt instead of the Venum kit, that's how you know they'll let him get away with anything.

Fighters were also supposed to be pulled of cards for making contact with their opponents before the fight, after the last Stephens pushing incident. Conor kicked Dustin. Dana didn’t say a word.

Double standards for the rich, and their rich friends.

Regardless of him being brought back, Torres was absolutely cut for the tweet. It happened the same day.

You can be fired and rehired again... doesn't change the fact you were still fired.

He keeps pushing the boundaries and no one is willing to check him, so it seems highly probable that he will eventually go farther that the trolley, suckerpunch, rape stuff.

It’s always like this with these egomaniacs: they get away with it until finally they go too far and fall off the cliff.

Sure but the point is other than spending 20 days in the doghouse, his UFC career wasn't "snuffed without a serious warning" as OP alleges. His subsequent fight with McDonald was a #1 contender fight to match Barao for the interim belt.

This is how the real world works boys and girls. Once you grow up maybe you’ll realize it.

If your employer likes you, you get away with more. If they don’t - you’re screwed.
Yep! It sucks and it’s fair, but that’s the way the world works. I recently got passed up on a promotion. They chose a girl who has no management experience, picks fights with everyone and took two leaves of absences due to anxiety.bc the GM wants to sleep with her (he mentioned it a bunch before he was GM. Not going to have hurt feelings, I understand that’s the way the world works, and time to find a new job

The double standard has always existed.

Will Chope got cut from the UFC over a domestic incident he had 5 years prior but here we are with Greg Hardy getting put on the biggest card of the year.
To our credit, we get to see Greg Hardly get KOd when he fights real fighters.
