How do they figure out that Alistair Overeem should get $800k and Miocic only deserved $600k for winning the fight? That's the confusing part is how they come up with these figures. Shouldn't Miocic get more since it was in his hometown, so people are coming to the arena to see the hometown hero, not the other guy.

Overeem is better at negotiating, simple as that. He was in a really good position since his contract was about to end

The Reem was a big star when he signed his UFC contract. Stipe, not so much.
 
That's it? 2 mil for a cross weight class super fight between the two greatest fighters of their respective divisions? Needs more money. But maybe there needs to be more risk taking too from these guys.

It isn't the same contract he had when he came to the UFC HE DIDN#t get paid as much.

It isn't as much about who brings a crowd into the arena but who gets PPV buys and viewers. You don't get paid differently for each fight at least not with your base salary so why would Miocic suddenly get more. If he becomes a domiannt champ then he would surely get more once his contract is up.

Nobody wants to spend two million dollars watching two midgets fight that I could fit in my pocket.

There is literally nothing imposing about two specks of dust swirling a round each other.
 
Mighty mouse would never get hired there, costco shelves are pretty high.

I like DJ, he's one of my favorite fighters. But he's not a draw, and that's on him. Such a dominant fighter would get paid more if he promoted himself better. It's all on him sadly.
