Media Mighty Mouse talks low UFC pay; made $30K/$30K and under through his third title defense

Well that's one thing that seems to have changed for the better in the WME era at least. Haven't seen a champ get paid less than $200k to show recently (which is still too low)

I never got the hate the DJ and FLW got given that he's probably in the shortlist for GOAT and should have definitely been the top P4P for a good while.

Imagine not wanting to pay DJ 1 mill for like his 12th record breaking title defense in a super fight against TJ. That should have been his base pay vs. a random.

Seeing how scummy and slanderous Dana and the whole company is towards fighters that want more than the crumbs from their masters' table is kind of shocking tbh. Only thing worse is the simps and UFC apologists on the site. UFC is also pretty shit at promoting overall, unless the fighter does 90% of the work for them.

Lmao. That is horrendous on the ufcs behalf.... That's embarrassing.

At least give him a measly flat 100k a fight

Ungrateful ex ufc fighter

He has no personality

LOL no...
Being one of the best in the world and a defending champ should earn you more than 30/30.
There is no excuse or argument against that.
UFC should have been able to market him better.
But lets be honest tons of mma fans would rather watch to fat slobs at HW slug it out than a technician like MM.

Anyone that does like watching DJ has to have the IQ of soap sir.

Third title defense too lol. 60k lmao. Dude be making less than a McDonalds manager if he only fought once that year.

but how can you not reward a guy that was technically superior to his competition, did things the right way, and was a true ambassador of the sport.

I think you just listed the things that UFC values the least. They don't do anything to benefit the sport.

Those 3 title fights are probably part of the contract he had before being champ. Did they upgrade fighter contract once becoming champion like they do now back in those days?

We don’t see any concrete fighter pay numbers anymore. They’ve actively worked to keep them hidden, and lobbied states to keep them hidden.
