I'm in early 40s an grew up in 80s. Had tons of Star wars, he man, transformers, go bots, WWF, etc.

Nothing I got is close to mint or even good condition they were toys I had as a kid my mom never threw em away. All toys were gen 1 toys. Had 30 so e star wars action figures, a millennium falcon, a shit load of transformers , etc.

A friend had a family member that collected shit. I showed him n he offered me 2k for the lot. Which was like 3 large wardrobe moving boxes full of toys. I was about to say fuck yeah I dont have to store this shit n get a little money out it.

I know toys from 80s are worth money but they are only worth something in good to mint right? Mine are not in good condition tho mosts are I guess decent some not do much.

Should i take the 2k or is it worth it to take the time to sort every thing out and price it all individually. Or just take the 2k n be done with it. Thoughts?

    Also no pics sorry.

It all depends on how much you want to work to possibly earn more than 2K. It may not be worth the effort in the long run. Personally, I wouldn't sell my old toys. However, in your case, I'd just take the money and skip the hassle.

Unless they’re in the package they’re worth nothing. I’m surprised someone offered you 2K

Hell yeah take the 2k. Maybe you could get now if you sold them individually but face it, if you were going too do that you would have already.

Besides, it would take a bunch of time and effort to sell each piece by itself. How much is your time worth?

Just take the 2000 and be done with it.
It's a nuisance dealing with hagglers.
Plus, you have to write a description, take pictures with the right lighting and camera angles, and then compare prices for each item to their actual worth.

It's all very time consuming unless you're retired and have extra time on your hands.

    Ps........
Ask for $2200 and see if he'll accept

@Streeter, do you have the time and patience to do this? Remember there would be multiple buyers and a handful of trolls and low-ballers haggling like crazy, calling and texting at 2 am. Take the money.

if you think there's more money there

you could also offer something like no money now, but 60-40 (60 for him) off the profits from selling them.

honestly, it depends if you are going to have kids and make them watch your cartoons. If so let your kids play with them.

I thought that was just in the movies.

wait.... you got paid for doing chores?

I thought the way it worked is that you got punished when you didn't do the chores to meet the ever increasing standards of the parents.

Lol, I had my regular stuff to do but did other things for parents like if my mother had a dinner party I'd do all the washing up and get paid for that etc. Or I recall getting paid by a neighbour who owned a Dunkirk little ship (,google if you interested) being shoulder deep in feeezing water in January trying to fix planks on his boat...
