The 37 years old brazilian Michel Prazeres (26-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) will try to extend his win streak to 9 in a row against Azerbaijan born Dagestani Ramazan "Gorets" Emeev (18-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC, former M-1 Global middleweight champion) on Feb 23.

Praz should be fighting someone in top 15 but the thing is a lot of guys turn down fights against him and that's a shame
 
Weight issues or not that dude needs a top 15 opponent RIGHT NOW.

When your British and have weight issues (Darren Till) you get fast tracked to undeserved title shots.

When you're Brazilian and have weight issues, you win 8 in a row with an incredible record (26-2) and are still on the prelims.

He missed weight at LW and is now fighting at WW.
Don't think there should be any issue at all...

I agreed he needs a ranked opponent but just to be clear he's only 2-0 at 170, his other 6 wins were at 155.

Context Till beat both Cowboys and Wonderboy. Two elite fighters. Prazares is beating cans.

He beat some serbian can and some other cans before he got the fight with cowboy.

Cummings and Durinho Burns are 7-3 in UFC, Fabinski was 3-0 going to the fight. These are not cans. They're arguably better than everyone else that Till fought.

Hard to beat ranked guys when you aren't given the chance to compete against them.

Till "beat" Wonderboy because he fought in his hometown. He loses that fight in any other location. He still got fast tracked. Unranked vs Cerrone to fighting the #1 contender Wonderboy? Lol c'mon man.

Prazeres beats who they put in front of him. What more can he do? He starched his last opponent in 1 minute.
 
Prazeres is a tank, but I think Emeev should beat him unless he gasses hard.

Shame that Michel didn't ever fight a ranked opponent, but I guess that he kind of deserved that for fucking things up at LW over and over. Very skilled though.

I don't know, Prazeres is so fucking strong and hard to deal with that he may, once again, outgrapple a bigger and skilled ground guy in Emeev..

I thought Cummings and Fabinski size advantages would be factors in their fights against Prazeres, but man, he just bulldozed'em. Freakish strength for a 5'6" dude.

Prazares is a beast but he's going to lose against the top 15 at ww. Size and reach will become an issue.

Another guy who would be perfect for 165 though.

Yeah, it's pretty insane to see him manhandle everyone he fights.
 
Absolutely hate watching both of these guys, but also recognise both are very under-rated and borderline top guys at 170lbs. This fight is gonna fuckign suck. And no, dont waste your time posting GIFs of Prazeres' last fight - even a broken clock is right twice a day. Doesn't erase numerous absolutely stinking fights he's had in the UFC.....Emeev hasn't had a good one yet himself.
 
Great match up. Both guys should have gotten a ranked fighter yet, if not being ranked themselves, so I hope the winner of this finally get a spot in the rankings.
 
Prazeres is in that Assuncao spot where he’s going to have to beat every single fighter on the roster in order to advance

I thought he was going to go far at LW after the fight against Taisumov, but he ate himself out of the division. The Fabinski KO was legit, if he wins here he has to get a top 15 WW.

He ended up submitting him with a guillotine but i agree with your point, Prazeres is very talented and i think i'm going with him here. Dude's a beast.

He refuses to lose muscle. He loves being jacked. Eventually that's going to hurt him at WW being so short.
