I think Bellator has some plans for him. They wouldn't feed him easy opponents for two years just to let him go to the UFC.

He's fun to watch. The problem is Bellator sheltered him and as a result we don't know how good he really is. They wanted him to give them HL KOs so badly they were terrified of actually giving him the chance of moving up the ladder and furthering his career. They gave him one fight that was a challenge and that was it.

Why should he go fight tougher guys for trillions less in sponsorship money. His job isn't to make UFC nuthuggers happy.

Trillions less? You really think a no-name in Bellator is raking in sponsorship dough? C'mon man! Half the dudes on sherdog couldn't put a face to his name and we're considered hardcores.

Why is it okay for Northcutt to fight cans but not MVP? If anything MVP should be getting all the hate considering he's 28 and still being coddled.

It does deserve criticism, but he's not out there flailing at his opponent the first 15 seconds of the fight like it's his first sparring match in the gym. He looks good, that's the difference.
