What do you say? I used to like him a lot but now in ONE he is so expired.

On the other hand, Daniel Austin for example is providing great commentaries for FightBox. Massive improvements from him, much better than him being ring announcer on Colosseum Tournament. Definitely a younger guy.

Used to be a big fan, but those two events lately he didn't commentate were much more enjoyable. Also don't think he pairs well with Mitch Chilson.
 
he lost the spirit on Commentating kickboxing,he used to follow and commentate the guys that built the modern kickboxing.
 
i would say hes the best muay thai commentator I have ever heard, he understand the sport so doesnt make any stupid or nonsense comments, and he has been doing it for a long time which translates into experience. I think it was him and mark castinini that used to comment on the fights, was pretty good. He also has an exciting voice and is able to hype things up, and has good quotes "more hooks than a tackle box". I think ONEFC hiring him was a smart move on their part.......and as someone else said.....hes underrated if anything. Would be great to have him on other MT promotions. The big KABOSH!
 
Litterally NOBODY can call play by play strike by strike action as accurately as he can. NOBODY!!!

He's probably the most underservingly hated on commentator of all time.

He used to actually post here and shout out Sherdog in K-1 broadcasts BTW.

Schiavello is the GOAT.

He used to be amazing and hilarious commentating Muay thai and k1.
I laughed so hard when he called Mike zambidis a nasty little oompa loompa lmao

He's the number 1 or 2 kb commentator IMO. I prefer Mauro Ranallo a little now, after he learned kickboxing and every line wasn't a comparison to MMA anymore. Shame we're not getting Ranallo anymore, but having Schiavello back part-time commentating kickboxing is great. Schiavello needs to work on top level fights though, wasn't much a fan when he was doing commentary on C-level Axs tv fights. His schtick works fine with Petrosyan but doing the same for some random American muay thai "great" fighting for gas money...not so much.

He's one of my favorite commentators, not just in KB but in combat sports period. He's passionate, has a lot of inside info to share about the fighters, has some humor in him and makes the fights exciting. Compare that to the commentators they have in Glory for instance...

Who else is better for KB anyway?
 
I'm no commentating expert nor do i care so much about it, apart from when they are biased or ignorant, that can be quite annoying. I don't think i have anything bad to say about Schiavello. He seems quite unpopular in the ufc forum though.
 
Watching K1 I always liked him. The guy brought a lot of energy and entertainment to an already exciting sport.

And like some have already stated, the guy knew his shit, very educational for a noob like myself.
 
he may once have been good but has become a complete PR mouthpiece for One FC.
 
He's great. I've liked him since I heard him on a heap of Aussie kickboxing shows 15 or more years ago.

Best commentator since Richie Benaud.
