    the 3rd round?

Never seen MJ slow down so much before. Was he tired from his volume the first two rounds? Did he try to coast?

His coach said "just five more minutes"...when you hear that, when you think that, you coast. He was just trying to get the five minutes in and collect his w.....Johnny Hendricks could tell you that's a bad idea

The uppercut, and another shot that slowed him down immediately.

He has a beard on him for sure. Tool some lethal shots straight in the chin. I believe it was a knee to the chin as well that got him after the uppercut.

He wasn't as insane as in Barboza fight. In no small part due to being tentative of the grappling

Dariush lit him up with some knees in the second round that went unnoticed by the commentators, knees to the body really slow a person down.

    Yea that's a good point.

It seemed a bit reckless but Dariush kept landing it, and I think only once did MJ land a good counter.

I think I remember someone in his corner telling Johnson not show his emotion which meant signs of trouble.

He tried coasting coz he, possibly justifiably, thought he'd won 2 rounds. I don't tend to make a definitive claim of who wins striking battles, as I'm hardly an expert. It was close. Dariush's TD attempts were a lost cause throughout, but he's a BJJ'er with no real wrestling base. It happens. But Beneil turned it up late on and that can sometimes give a judge, on the fence, a concrete winner.

    mmm.... no.

Dariush has strong wrestling, but MJ did such a good job of controlling range throughout the fight.

Dariush's inability to take him down was a footwork and setup issue, not a wrestling issue.

Word is Dariush was training with Conor so his body shots do 2.5x the damage of a normal fighter's body shots. MJ was exhausted going into the 3rd from the brutal beating Dariush put on his body.
