This is not an amateur boxing sparing match.
Michael Johnson avoided engaging Dariush most of the fight.
Dariush did more damage in rounds 2 and 3.
He wanted to play *** tag and that's what his decision bought him.

Someone send MJ a tweet and tell him he's not GSP nor is he a champion.
He actually has to defeat his opponents, not out touch them with meaningless jabs.
Hopefully he comes to FIGHT next time.

    Great decision.

I thought johnson won the first two rounds, but he certainly pissed away the third. He was pretty bland though, jumping in with a one two, then out again isnt really dynamic, or championship material.

Johnson was on the front foot the vast majority of the fight. How was he the one avoiding engaging?

Any fighter who cruises in the third round of a fight in which he didn't spend the first two beating his opponent to a pulp runs the risk of winding up on the business end of a questionable decision, but MJ won the first two rounds, and the way he fought in the third has absolutely no bearing on that.

Dariush was just eating shots the first two rounds, and had a decent third round.

Cut the "Don't leave it in the hands of the Judges" bullshit, and just admit that there is some serious problem with MMA judging.

MJ looked like his only priority for the fight was stopping the TD rather than finishing Dariush.

Lol always love that one guy who tries to justify the judges' poor decision.

if you're not fighting like you're trying to finish your opponent, then you deserve to lose. It's an unspoken sherdog rule

If Johnson deserved to lose, what does Dariush deserve for doing nothing?

I've seen at least half a dozen posts claiming that Johnson was avoiding the action or running when he was clearly the aggressor.

People will say absolutely anything to justify something happening to a fighter that they don't like.

I need to go back on hiatus from this forum. The stupidity is just too much.

There's not just one. There are several, and a lot of them seem to be people who thought Johnson should have lost to Barboza, which is just as laughable.

This is what I don't understand. Failed takedowns and missed left hands win fights now, just because your opponent doesn't aggressively pursue the finish while picking you apart? Odd.

Yep. I get it, people want guys to finish fights, really I get it, but Dariush did FUCKING nothing compared to Johnson dancing in and out and landing a few solid shots.
