News Michael Chiesa doesn’t see RDA as a dangerous ‘fight’

What’s this guy talking about? Dude gets rewarded the ghosts of Condit and Diego back to back because of the bus incident and now the ‘pressure’ is off lol. I hope he feels the ‘pressure’ when RDA backs him into the fence and starts teeing off and let that mullet fly free again.

Probably because he has a size advantage over RDA but if he takes him lightly then RDA is gonna surprise him.

He's not disrespecting RDA. He's saying the context of the fight in terms of his own career is not do or die. He doesn't think he's going to get cut if he loses.

 

Chiesa gonna tap him out

 

I like Chiesa much better at 170 than at 155. He was cutting too much weight. I think he will beat RDA but it is a close fight no doubt.

 

What a terrible mindset. How you gonna overlook RDA like that?

Of course he doesn't think RDA is dangerous.
RDA isn't a bus or a dolly.

 

No shame in what he's saying. He said that mindset allows him to fight at his best so best of luck to him.

 

This is the only correct answer so far, but the quote is classic Chiesa and the other comments here demonstrate pretty clearly that he is one of those fighters who just isn’t likable for some reason.

Are people too lazy to read or too dumb to make sense of the words? He didn't underestimate RDA at all.

 

RDA will look like the RDA of old against Chiesa. Chiesa is about to get run over.

 

Title is misleading.

He verbatim said RDA is "one of the most dangerous guys." The point he is making is that he fights better when the pressure of losing your job isn't on the table.

Regardless of how shot Condit is, a third loss would have ended Chiesa's UFC career. Crazy things happen in MMA and that is most definitely a lot of pressure because of the nature of their contracts. You are locked up for as long as they want you, but they can cut you with a loss at any time.

This is all pretty much common sense.
