Yeah, if all the top fighters at MW retire then I can definitely see Bisping being Champ.

He had a long career with many long tough fights. Its clear Bisping doesnt have what it takes to be champ.

Well it's not like we'd expect him to say the truth: "I'm destined to be a gatekeeper."

Hard to see what he would have to offer against the Champ, and I'm not a big fan of him personally. It would be interesting if it happened though, I enjoy watching these forums explode

If Silva leaves, I could see Bisping getting the belt. Remember, he's always 1 fight closer to a title shot than anybody else because he's a brit and he can talk. So, he gets a title shot and could conceivably beat just about anyone except Silva. He wouldn't hold it long though. He's above average but by no means dominant.

That's the only mindset you should ever have when vying for a title shot. I think anyone with solid sub defense, good wrestling and good enough striking to set up TD's can beat Anderson if they play it right. The key is sticking to that gameplan like glue and not making any mistakes Anderson can capitalize on in 25 minutes.

That's a tall order, but I think Bisping could technically pull it off.

^^^ Silva is better at Bisping in every aspect of MMA, and is a horrible match up for him. He'd be among Silva's easiest MW wins.

I think by "I'm destined to be world champion" (which is incorrect grammar; he should have added "the" before "world champion"), he meant "I'm destined to be the BAMMA/Bellator/KOTC/One/Dream world champion."

Anderson is not a better wrestler than Bisping by any stretch of the imagination, and controlling Anderson while not getting subbed is all Bisping has to do to win this. I'm not saying it's likely but it's certainly possible.

Not really, Silva actually is better than me in all aspects of MMA so there's nothing I can exploit. Bisping was a GnP fighter when he first started on the reality show and showed respectable wrestling against Sonnen and Rashad. Bisping could legitimately threaten Anderson with his wrestling and sub defense.
