    I dunno if this was a case of her falling in love with the striking or just getting hammered right off the bat and getting zero going.

    maia did, it sucked for a while but now he adapted it to his grappling game

    It's not that simple. In every fight, even if marginally, striking has to come before grappling. Amanda was able to use her striking to prevent the grappling all together.

    MMA goes through cycles where some arts gain more relative importance than other arts.

    It obviously started with BJJ. Wrestling had its cycle.

    I think we are in the middle of boxing's cycle. People need to start paying a bit more attention to their hands.

    ronda didnt fall in love with her striking. her striking was so far behind nunes, she didnt even get a chance to attempt to take the fight to the ground.
