Cerrone just fought Myles Jury on January 3rd and is now fighting Benson Henderson on January 18th which is less than a month. I thought that medical suspensions for fights were usually 2-3 months and sometimes longer and that they were basically standard after every fight.

So, how can Cerrone be fighting so soon and not have a medical suspension?

You only get a medical suspension if you're suspended.

First of all, it's adorable you think the NSAC won't overturn it if the UFC finds it advantageous. Second, as long as a doc clears him then he's good.

I am pretty sure medical suspensions only happen if you get tkoed/koed or some kind of other injury.

The same reason the NSAC withheld Jon's test result until after the DC fight.

Because it's profitable and because they can.

The simple answer is that this is completely incorrect. Ceronne isn't suspended and most of the suspensions are dismissed after the first real medical exam.

Standard as in they give out a lot of suspensions. Anyone that the ring doctor suspects has any injury at all will normally get a suspension. Suspensions last the stated time, or until cleared by a doctor. Most are cleared early. Many are non-injuries in the first place.

Was he on the suspension list?

what injury did he suffer? a sore ankle from kicking Jury's ass?

Dumb questions do your research, he isn't on the suspension list so hes clear too fight whenever

wait, 4 fighters broke a hand, foot or ankle ? says they cannot fight till July without clearance

Means at that night there was swelling or other indication that something could be broken, not definate . They just need X-rays or further exam to verify suspension or clear it

That sums it up nicely.
