No, Nate is his worst nightmare.
Nate is ranked 8th? And he is his worst nightmare... you guys don't expect much from your champion do you?Nate is.
Tony is decent in all areas but is still too sloppy. Recovers well but conor would still Alvarez him.
Khabib is a warm up and nothing more.
What do rankings have to do with stylistic match making?Nate is ranked 8th? And he is his worst nightmare... you guys don't expect much from your champion do you?
I'm talking Khabib not Woodley? WTF does Woodley have to do with anything? You sound as stupid as Mcnugget. What do rankings have to do with stylistic match making?
Iron chin, cardio, good boxing, elite BJJ, reach. That what Nate brings. You need a baseball bat or a shin to the do,e to finish him.
The script is set to beat a Diaz and that is wrestling. Conor isn't a wrestler. Nate is a tougher matchup for Conor than Woodley is. Fact.
Khabib "Run At People With Chin Up And Hands Down" Nurmygeddon would be his easiest pay day yet.
he isn't even a bad grappler, he's shown some good ability on the ground. yes, nate choked him, but other than that, the few glimpses we've had at conor's ground game have shown us that he's alright. not world class, but not clueless either. The pathways to beating Conor are out there: Conor has weak grappling, and I think Khabib would make him look incredibly silly. Conor's other problem is his gas tank, which Nate took advantage of. Cardio is something that can be improved upon, but Conor's grappling deficits are going to take much longer to shore up. I can see Khabib taking full advantage of them.
Conor relies entirely on defensive grappling in a way that's designed to get him back to his fight or get the ref to stand them up. We saw against Chad that he had nothing for Chad on his back, and he was getting mauled until Chad gassed in the second round. I can see Conor lying on his back, just eating punches against Khabib.he isn't even a bad grappler, he's shown some good ability on the ground. yes, nate choked him, but other than that, the few glimpses we've had at conor's ground game have shown us that he's alright. not world class, but not clueless either.
the problem is that khabib can make very good grapplers look like they can't grapple, and he'd do the same to conor. he would (or will?) do the same to tony, which people will find far more impressive.

The path to beating Khabib is definitely to sprawl and brawl him, but yeah, that's going to be a tall order to fill. Conor is going to need a lot more than just a straight left to be able to do it.The interesting aspect of it is that Conor def. Has better hands than Edson, and i really dont see Khabib just walking down Conor and going into that left unphased.
But at the same time thd blue print to bear Khabib is pretty evident, just like with Brock and Ronda, keep it standing. Only thing is nobody has been able to do this yet. And until then Kkabib will look just as unstoppable as Brock and Ronda did.
I dont think Conor is the one thats gonna do it either.
Interesting enough, Eddie Alv.
Probably has the greatest assets to beat Khabib
