Conor started utilizing this alot more after diaz vs conor 2 and he used it against eddie, very effective clinch break technique that he uses as a shield and javelin (left hand)

Extremely efficient striking game overall especially since he stopped spamming gay capoeira kicks.

Them elbows are nasty, can do much damage without draining too much energy.

I like it. Takes good timing to pull off but it works. Nobody ever sees it coming.

    Don't bury the lead.

Title should read: Conor invents new elbow strike, almost wins decision.

His knees in the clinch are actually damn good, they're very sneaky and hard.

If Conor can continue to up his clinch striking, he's going to be a fucking nightmare. At range, whether he's leading or on the counter (which is mixes anyways), he's as good as it gets in MMA.

Here is what happend to Jones when he finally fought someone close enough in size to him - who actually had a basic understanding of striking

Ronda fucking Rousey has better boxing then Jones LMAO

Jones is a day one amature who gets by on nothing but size, oblique kicks, eye pokes and wrestling

Jones, along with Anderson, IS the most OVER RATED fighter in MMA history

Rashad was not only far smaller and older, Rashad is a terrible striker who learned boxing from his BJJ coach lol.

Of course Jones could do what ever he wanted to against Rashad

And yet still, a one dimentional Rashad with his terrible striking and T-rex arms still rocked Jones several times lol

145 and 155 are far more stacked divisions which contain other actual legit talents...smaller divisions have far more depth...and always will...the talent pool is far greater to draw from...So anything Conor is doing at 145 and 155 against actual other legit talents automatically holds far more relevance and significance

Mendes pound for pound smokes Rashad

Alvarez was 28-3 before Conor and was far superior on a pound for pound scale to any of the older smaller LHWs Jones bullied on with his nassive size advantageS

This is what REAL BOXING SKILL looks like with elbows incorporated

Outside slip to cross face elbow. Pure fire by Conor. Thats real skill against another actual legit talent

Not only is Conor excellent with elbows (and striking in general) in tight or in the clinch

Conor can also counter that ass with elbows

I love that sequence so much. Conor's skills are truly in another universe

From utilising distance deception (pay attention to Conor's lead foot positionings) to scramble Alvarez ability to properly read distance and draw out, to Conor slick defensive skill and countering - outside slip to cross face elbow counter....

If Conor had missed the elbow, he still couldve used that cross face elbow to jam Alvarez neck, control Alvarez's posture, shut down return fire, and or land off the control.

Conor is a brilliant tactician...the greatest MMA has ever seen

Ive done many breakdowns detailing/showing/proving how Conor is truly about as flawless as a striker as MMA has ever seen...

Conor is Money from every range and ecery position...Conor makes you miss and pay from every range and every position....Conor is truly under rated...people still dont understand how fucking NEXT LEVEL Conor's skills and fight IQ are....we are truly lucky to see a Conor McGregor In our lifetime..and yet here are trolls taking Conor for granted

"The UNeducated eye can not see nor understand the brilliance of Conor McGregor"

One of the greatest realest quotes ive ever heard
