Khabib is a better striker than McGregor. At least, based on the UFC.com stats which show that Khabib has slightly better accuracy and avoids more strikes than McGregor.

Some of you make this argument based on faulty definitions. If you want to say Conor is a better boxer then I can't argue with that. But is he a better striker in the full scope of MMA, that is questionable.

MMA allows for Ground Strikers. Khabib is more efficient than Conor because he does his striking on the ground where the opponent is more vulnerable.

Was Khabib vs Barboza a grappling fight? No. It was a ground striking fight. Barboza's face was rearranged, and it wasn't because of takedowns. It was because he was smashed on the ground.

Conor prefers striking while he is on his feet. Khabib prefers striking when the opponent is grounded, which is more high reward with low risk.
