How many rounds will this fight be? Sounds like it will be 10 but how can you put a guy making his boxing debut in a 10 rounder? 6 would be fair imo. Also is Mayweather joking about fighting in Russia? The only reason I could see him being serious is that it might be easier for him to juice and not get caught.

Also how good of a boxer is Nate? He spars with Ward and focuses mostly on boxing and bjj. He's also a southpaw and had a reach advantage but Conor boxed him up with ease. All Nate was able to do was hold Mcgregor against the cage and throw light punches (most of which missed).

I watch both boxing and mma and don't understand why some people think boxers are A-level athletes and mma fighters are C-level. If Floyd isn't training his ass off and doesn't take this fight 100% seriously there's a good chance he'll lose.

12 rounds
145lbs
Mayweather by decision
Rematch in 2018.

People were calling cable companies after the MayPac shitfest demanding refunds on PPV for no fight actually taking place. $65 for glorified sparring.

I bet they try for $75 a buy this time.

Floyd inside 5. Conor never lands anything significant.

Where was Pacquiao vs Mayweather $65? They charged $100 for it here.

It will be 12 rounds. 8oz Grant Gloves. 400 Sq Ft Ring. At the MGM in Vegas.

Nate would get absolutely destroyed by any top boxer. Sparring with Ward, is alot different then stepping in and actually competing with the best boxers in the world.

There's basically 0% chance Floyd will lose. Even if he trains only 2 weeks for the fight, his muscle memory and boxing IQ from doing it his entire level, and competing at the very peak of the sport for so long, is enough to beat McGregor.

Maybe it was $100. whoops (confused it with that UFC event that marked up $5)
So this one will be $115

Price didn't matter, it was playing for free where we watched it.

It's not that boxers are better athletes; it's that their "martial art" of boxing is a strange one in which the fighters can only use their fists. Over the decades, perfect styles for this "martial art" have been honed, & the elites like Floyd Jr. simply can not be touched by non-boxers. Conor's ONLY chance is a huge KO left-hand, but Floyd will see it coming a mile away, especially without kicks to set it up. If it were MMA rules, it would be Randy Couture vs. James Toney all over again; but, this is boxing.
Also, I thought Floyd may be willing to take a dive in this 1st fight in order to set up a billion dollar trilogy; so, Conor had that one chance for a win: a fixed fight. But, Floyd spent his entire life setting up an undefeated record to retire with. There's now way he'd ruin that all now. Unless he's it Money trouble somehow, which I highly doubt. I would never pay for this Floyd v. Conor Farce.

Wat ?
Thats not at all what people are saying. People are arguing that both Floyd and Conor would be so superior in their respective sports that a fight in either would favour the one party so greatly that the fight itself is meaningless

That's not my quote. I was responding to Flying Death Kick's original post. Mine is the rebuttal below it.

I stopped reading when I saw "he boxed him up with ease." I was just watching Diaz vs McGregor II on FS1 yesterday, and in between the 2nd and 3rd round and on, Conor looked like a gassed, demoralized fighter. And that was at 168.5 pounds I believe! Imagine having to go down to 145!!!

10/12 rounds with one of the all time greats in boxing doesn't bode well for young McGregor.

I dislike both May and Conor. It's a shit show to me. Wouldn't this fight be Mayweather's 50th win? You'd think he'd want to earn that one. Not impressed at all with this money thing. Stupidest gimmick used by both fighters. Yeah it works for them but what the hell do fans get out of it?Conor swinging at air while Floyd stays tucked behind his shoulder and pot shots his way to victory against a complete novice. Dumb. I'm sure it'll be an outrageous price aswell.
