Seriously, the guy is booked to fight RDA.Don't hold your breath. Conor has plenty of holes and will be exposed eventually. The only way he gets to a WW title shot is because Dana will keep throwing title shots at him as long as he wins. He'll keep skipping over the talent of the division to play favorable odds of making a good run while never really having earned a title shot by taking out contenders of the division. There are tons of fighters at 155 and 170 who would destroy him, making him look like an amateur.
After Conor dusts RDA in under a minute and captures the LW belt he will go up to WW to fight GSP at UFC 200 which will break 3 million buys at $99.99 per PPV. You guys can not believe me if you want but have I been wrong yet?
Get the fuck out of here!My hope for the future of UFC is to have McGregor beat RDA, then move on to 170 and get that belt too, holding 3 belts. Then, because of McGregor's big mouth, the polite french canadian GSP decides it's time to come out of retirement to fight McGregor.
It would be the biggest fight in UFC history, and would take many years to top.
Just Bleed fan detected. A fight can last 5 rounds and it can be a complete destruction of someone.
gotcha my balls. You actually didn't really Understand what he wrote.simple as that.So beating the actual champ at a weight isnt as legit as beating a couple of top ten guys in your mind?
Gotcha.
missing his point big time here. Challenging one guy for the title is playing favourable odds compared to working your way to the top of the division. Simple as that. Also Don t forget avoiding some bad match up in the process.Wouldn't the current title holders in the divisions present a bigger challenge than the "contenders?"
He is taking on the biggest available challenges and people still criticize the kid. Is it a smart move? Your damn right. Does he deserve the shot? More than Chael v Bones and it isn't like the fight will hold up either division. The only people with legitimate complaints would be Alvarez and Edgar. Alvarez just fought a few weeks ago to get his ranking and Edgar can either wait to fight Conor after the Aldo rematch or take another fight and get paid.
As for this silly thread title--what is the deal with sherdog forums and mma fans in general being so obsessed with more and more outlandish what-if scenarios. Personally I enjoy watching the sport not sitting around dreaming about if fighter a beats fighter b then c then d if he will be in the biggest fight ever against fighter e.
I'm not arguing that winning multiple fights is more or less of a challenge than winning one fight. I'm arguing that the fights he's taking are against better (or at least higher ranked ie champions) fighters than the alternative. He has put himself in a position to take on the biggest challenges and instead of shying away from them (like GSP and Silva did for years flirting with fighting each other or Silva moving up to face LHW Champ) he is taking them on, immediately. This guy is hard to take yours eyes off because he's been talking the talk for years and now that the opportunities are there he is cashing in big time, walking the walk.missing his point big time here. Challenging one guy for the title is playing favourable odds compared to working your way to the top of the division. Simple as that. Also Don t forget avoiding some bad match up in the process.
It would be sad to see Conor win two belts then be taken down for 5 full rounds and lose a decision to GSP.My hope for the future of UFC is to have McGregor beat RDA, then move on to 170 and get that belt too, holding 3 belts. Then, because of McGregor's big mouth, the polite french canadian GSP decides it's time to come out of retirement to fight McGregor.

ya i'd be doing the same thing, sitting back and waiting on who will accomplish what i did in the ufc...oh so far nobody, titles keep changes hands....when a fighter holds the title for a long period of time and makes numerous title defenses then you can talk sh!t, gsp doesn't need to come back and he's already cleaned out his division and retired being champion, nothing more to prove. lets see these other fighters accompish what guys like gsp, fedor, aldo, anderson, all these fighters defended and kept there titles for long periods of time, so ya gsp should keep sipping martinis he doesn't need to fight anyone.GSP would rather sip martinis than fight.
But for arguments sake, Conor would find a way to beat him.
Guaranteed.
this
but it would be a 5 round decision. That's what GSP does. Every time. This would be no different. If that's destroy, then you are right.
But it isn't.
Seems to me he destroyed Kos in the second fight even though it went to decision. Same with Fitch. And feel free to ignore all his finishes, as it doesn't fit the BS narrative.this

But he did use his wrestling to defend. Conor's defense sucks. The more fitting comparison would be to look at how easily Mendes took Conor down.Conor will ko this P*ssy wrestler in the first round. Look what hendricks have done to gsp in a southpaw vs orthodox matchup without even using wrestling.
