Calling it now, Conor will form the basis of his rematch appeal on how he was drinking and promoting his whiskey in the lead up to the fight and couldn’t fully commit

Jon Jones said something similar about partying in the weeks before a fight so he could blame a loss on that and not his abilities

He did look like shit even early on, I know a drinkers face when I see one. Although I’d bet on Khabib in a rematch
 
Career suicide, IMHO. He has absolutely nothing for Khaleeb currently.

If I was him, I would fight Nate, give the fans some good old lighthearted trashtalk with Diaz followed by a fun scrap, and pray to Allah that Tony beats Khaleeb, so he may fight Tony for the title next.

Nothing about that fight warrants a rematch tbh, it was as one sided as a gang rape.

Yeah, I don't think Conor wants anything to do with Khabib now. His passion for the sport has now been broken and he'll only fight maybe 2-3 more times (one of which will undoubtedly be against Nate Diaz).

The thing I'm most gutted about with the after fight antics, is that Khabib has probably weakened his position with the UFC, and makes it more likely he's pressured into a pointless rematch.

Hopefully the Nevada commission calls out Conor and the UFC/Dana for their part in this, and that that gives Khabib some relatively stable ground to stand on for his next fight.

In any sane world, Conor would have to earn a title shot again by working his way up - but I appreciate that's not the world we live in.
 
He lost the second round 10-8 and tapped in the 4th.

I think he should fight Lee and Tony should fight Khabib next.
 
I'm not so sure the UFC would want Conor fighting Khabib in an immediate rematch. They'll probably give him Nate again and then see if Tony can beat Khabib, or strip Khabib and setup Tony vs Conor for the belt.

LOL at McGregor just having a revolving door of title shots no matter what. Its embarrassing.
 
He does not want to be in there again with Khabib anytime soon.

And it's better for him.

He should either retire or take calculated steps to rebuilt his confidence and hype.

I think the mental damage he took in this fight was worse than the physical damage. So he should not rush anything.

Diaz-Poirier winner or Diaz no matter the result would be the best choice imo.
