i don't think anything would turn me into a fan. the guy is probably the most annoying professional athlete of all times. total douchebag. do i respect him as a fighter? absolutely. you'd have to be a moron not to acknowledge that what he's done is very very impressive (so far). but no i won't be a "fan" of conor if he beats rda.

This is about how I feel. I would like to be a fan but it's just too much. He goes overboard and it's too much to handle.
As a fan of MMA, do I want him to win? Yes. I want him to keep winning belts because that is not something that happens to often.
It's hard to consider him much of a champion if he doesn't defend.
How about a subforum for all things NOT Conor?

I'm not a fan of him just because of his antics. He's already made a believer out of me however. I think he has a good shot against RDA, and the way the UFC markets him and gives him fights ... it's not like he really needs to climb the rankings. That works to his advantage I think. There are murderers at 170, and he wouldn't have to fight any of them. I could see him beating Lawler honestly, but at both 155 and 170 I think there is literally a handful of guys in each that would beat him handily. Like I said, luckily he never has to deal with any of this since he is a big draw, so it really just comes down to who is the champ at the time they make the fight. Conor is smart though, as is the UFC in his handling. They will always be able to find interesting fights for him.

I agree, but, they will look for the big fight always so...if he gets to beat RDA (i personally doubt it), and for some crazy reason they offer him a fight in the WW will not be other than Lawler, who i guess might take it lightly, do his part, get paid, and for the most part i guess crush Conor on fight night.
Its Red Panty Night for anyone fighting Conor while he is still undefeated in the UFC.

Winning belts isn't what should make you a fan. I think he has amazing talent. I don't really like or dislike Conor. He is fun to watch. But to answer your question, if he wins another belt or or loses a fight, it's not going to make me like him more or less.

It would be impressive but kind of bullshit to for him to fight for 3 belts without defending any and not fighting a single contender in 2 of them. Even BJ went up and won a belt but subsequently got slapped around by several contenders and came out with a losing record at WW.
